Carbon Chemistry Silica Gel 60 is a neutral pH filtration media composed of 100% Amorphous Silica designed for Oil Purification, Product Improvement, and can also be used for Chromatography. Due to its polarity, it has a high binding affinity to polar contaminants such as Chlorophyll. It is excellent for Winterization when paired with a bed of Activated Alumina above it for color remediation and helping catch crashed out fats.
In addition, Silica Gel 60 can be used as a Stationary Media Phase for Column Chromatography performed to separate out fractions of compounds.
